WOONSOCKET- Lillian C. (Dextraze) Lavallee, 89, of Woonsocket, died Friday, January 14, 2011 in The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Maurice R. Lavallee.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leo U. and Eugenia (Rivet) Dextraze. She lived in Woonsocket for most of her life.
Mrs. Lavallee worked as a Stitcher for American Tourister formerly of Albion and also worked for Woonsocket Spinning.
She is survived by a daughter Diane Parenteau and her husband Rene of Woonsocket, two sons Roger Lavallee and his wife Jacqueline of Warwick and Robert Lavallee and his companion Linda of Woonsocket, four grandchildren Jason, Michael, Robert Paul and Crystal Lyne and one great-grandchild Login. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roland, Wilfred and Hubert Dextraze.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the Holy Family Church, 414 So. Main St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Old River Road, Manville. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6 - 8 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Holy Family Church Restoration Fund, 414 So. Main St., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
