WOONSOCKET- Roland R. Senecal, 88, resident of Woonsocket, died January 15, 2011, at the Mt. St. Francis Health Center.
Born June 28, 1922 in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late William & Linda (Brousseau) Senecal and Kathryn (Mallin) Senecal.
Roland was a self-employed accountant. Among many others, he was a member of the former To Kalon Club in Pawtucket, former treasurer of the RI Association of Accountants, and on the supervisory committee for Central Falls Credit Union. Roland was a proud WWII Army veteran, 102nd Infantry Association Ozarks and American Legion (Fairmount Post) Member.
He is survived by his sisters, Yvonne Senecal of Woonsocket, and Dolores Martel of Mendon, 12 nieces & nephews, 20 great nieces & nephews, and 10 great great nieces & nephews.
He was the brother of the late William Senecal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10am in Sacred Heart Church in Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Pauls Cemetery in Blackstone. Calling hours will be held Tuesday in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home 445 Greenville Rd. No. Smithfield RI from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. St. Francis Health Center or Odyssey Hospice.
