NORTH SMITHFIELD- Florence A. Beard 85, of Rhodes Ave., died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Richard P. Beard.
Mrs. Beard was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie Anne (Nadeau) Beaudet.
She was a textile worker and worked for Woonsocket Spinning Co. for eleven years and then Riverside Industries for eight years before retiring in 1975.
Mrs. Beard is survived by her twin brother Arthur Beaudet of Woonsocket, a sister Louise Carpentier of Sturbridge, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Edmond, Emile, Adjutor, Herve,and Omer (Ben) Beaudet, Jeanne Tarvis, Bertha Attridge, and Cecile Carpentier.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-6 PM. Please visit www.fournierandfournier.com for guestbook and directions.
