BLACKSTONE- Dorothy (Ratelle) Cote, 87, of Blackstone formerly of Bellingham and Woonsocket passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Cote.
Born in Harrisville, RI on November 13, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Jane (Theroux) Ratelle. She was the mother of Raymond E. Cote and his wife Rita of San Antonio, TX.
She leaves her two granddaughters Marie Kirsch of Amarillo. TX and Jennifer Cote of Lubbock, TX; and a great-grandson Karl Kirsch. She was the sister of Laura Petrin of Woonsocket and the late Sylvio Ratelle, Donat Ratelle and Lydia Petrin.
Mrs. Cote was a counter manager for 23 years for the former Zayre's in Bellingham until retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Bellingham Senior Center and a communicant of St. Blaise Church.
Funeral will be held on Monday, January 24, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dorothy Cote may be sent to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
