BURRILLVILLE- Georgina M. (Esten) Shaw, 92, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 in Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Marshall L. Shaw.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Harold O. and Mary (Brown) Esten.
Georgina worked as a winder in area mills and was a food service supervisor for Zambarano Hospital. She was a member of RI Chapter 1918 Club, a member of YGA, a member of Arbutus Rebecca Lodge #20 and past Noble Grand, a member of Pascoag Fire Hose #2 Ladies Auxiliary, former trustee of Pascoag Public Library and a communicant of Berean Baptist Church, Harrisville.
She is survived by a son, David Shaw of Pascoag, a daughter, Mary Jane Emidy of Woonsocket, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Esten.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at 10 am in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Burial will follow in Pascoag Cemetery, Main St. Pascoag. Calling hours are Monday from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Pascoag Public Library, 57 Church St., Pascoag, RI 02859 or Overlook Nursing Home Activities Fund, 14 Rock Ave, Pascoag, RI 02859.
