William R. "Billy" Davenport

BURRILLVILLE - William R. "Billy" Davenport, 38, of Harrisville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 with his family at his side.
He was the cherished son of Carol Murphy and Roberta Lacey and very special brother to Nikki and Allie Lacey. He was the Grandson of the late Hope and John Murphy of Pascoag. Billy is also survived by his Meme, Alberta Neal of Harrisville and his very special "Aunty Mary". He also leaves many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was loved and adored by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
Born to Rita (Gagnon) Davenport and the late Joseph R. Davenport formerly of Warren, RI, Billy also leaves behind a brother Joseph R. Davenport Jr. of Portland, Maine, and a sister Cynthia Cabral of Riverside.
Billy grew up on Chapel Street in Harrisville and greatly enjoyed his family and friends. He loved sitting in the sun and listening to music, especially John Denver and War of the Worlds. Billy loved to swim in the pool and loved spending time at his family's lake house on Wakefield Pond. Billy attended the Homestead Group in Woonsocket and formerly attended Meeting Street School in East Providence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag. Burial will be private.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday from 4 to7 pm in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to The Homestead Group, 68 Cumberland St., Suite 200, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
