BURRILLVILLE- Dina (Travaglini) Leone, 79, of Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, February 01. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Peter J. Leone, Sr. in 2005.
Born in Hopedale, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fortunato and Emma (Piccioli) Travaglini.
A wise and gentle woman, Dina's greatest joy was her cherished family. She was an amazing mother whose love and caring extended beyond her own family. She instantly became known as "Ma" to the many friends and acquaintances that experienced her kindness and generosity throughout the years.
An avid fan of Boston sports, Dina's other interests included cooking, playing cards and word puzzles.
Mrs. Leone is survived by a son, Peter J. Leone, Jr. and his wife Polly; 3 daughters, Elaine Leone, Concetta White and her husband Tom, and Toni Leone; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Angie, Brookes and his wife Jill, and Lauren Leone; Daniel and Sophia White; 3 great grandchildren, John Peyton, Makayla, and Anthony Leone; a sister, Eleanor Lombardo; and a brother, Robert Travaglini.
Calling hours are Sunday 2-6 PM in the A.A. MARIANI and SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence. Funeral will be held Monday at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville, Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Milford, Massachusetts.
