WOONSOCKET- Raymond Gemski, 85, of Park Avenue, passed away Friday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Rose (Kuchiryvka) Gemski.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Peter and Annie (Lanowy) Gemski. He was a life-long Woonsocket resident.
Mr. Gemski was a United States Navy, World War II Veteran.
He was employed by the former Woonsocket Hospital as a Nuclear Medicine Technician until his retirement.
He leaves his grandchildren, Christopher and Stephanie Gemski; daughter-in-law Maria Gemski; brother, John Gemski of Cumberland and sister Karen Gemski of Smithfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Monday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, One Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday, 1-4 PM.
