NORTH SMITHFIELD- Lorraine R. Riopel of Great Road died Monday morning, February 21st, at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Bertha (Tavernier) Pfefferle.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Titherington and Elaine L. Dwyer, her goddaughter, several nieces and nephews, and her business associate, Murielle Vallee of Vallee Jewelers.
Lorraine worked as an Associate at Vallee Jewelers. Her temperament was loved by all, a tenacity to solve any problem, a compassion to listen to every story, a loyalty to her family that impressed, an excitement for the fun she found in Mohegan Sun and the Boston Red Sox, and a radiance that emanated with every smile.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 26th at 9AM, starting from Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St., No. Smithfield, and then burial at St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are Friday from 5 - 8PM.
