WOONSOCKET- Helen M. (Marchwicki) Alexander, 92, of Irene Blvd., died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at home. She was the wife of the late Edmund Alexander.
Born in Ware, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Babiarz) Marchwicki.
Mrs. Alexander was employed as a Telephone Operator for the former New England Telephone, now Verizon, for forty-five years. She was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers and a member of the St. Stanislaus Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Gosselin and her husband Rick of No. Smithfield, a brother, Edward Marchwicki of No. Smithfield and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and James Gosselin. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Marchwicki.
Her funeral, beginning with visitation at 9AM, will be held Monday, February 28, 2011 from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 174 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
