FRANKLIN- Donald C. Laliberte, 81, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Maples Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, following a long illness. He was the husband of Jeanne L. (Richards) Laliberte.
Born in Woonsocket, January 10, 1930 a son of the late Joseph and Leona (Dyke)Laliberte. He was educated in local schools, and was a retired self employed carpenter.
Mr. Laliberte also worked for more than 20 years at Dean Jr. College as the head of the maintenance dept. He served the Town of Franklin as a member of the Board of Appeals for 16 years, was a 50 year member of the Plainville Beagle Club, a former corporator of the former Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank, was a Mayflower descendant, and sang with the Franklin Barbershopers.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years are his son David A. Laliberte of Franklin, 2 daughters: Pamela J. Smith of Rutland, Ma, Diane L. Wicknick of Franklin, 3 brothers: Wallace of Louisiana, Leslie "Cookie" of NH, Eugene Laliberte of Lincoln, RI, a sister of Barbara Bartolomei of Brewster, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was also the brother of the late Philip & Roland Laliberte, Joyce Mucciarone, Gloria Martineau, and Doris Swahn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with visitation beginning at 8:30AM on Friday from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St.

with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 11AM. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
