HOPEDALE, MA- Norman J. Lussier, 71, of 50 Plain Street, Hopedale died Thursday March 3, 2011 in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston. He was the husband of Christina (Bird) Lussier.
A lifelong resident of Hopedale, Mr. Lussier had been employed at Trubilt Truck Body Co. in Milford and the Jannell Company in Woonsocket, RI. He later worked for Stop & Shop in Milford.
He was born Aug. 19, 1939 in Milford, the son of the late Wilfred and Alma (Courtemanche) Lussier.
Norman had a deep Christian faith and attended the Community Bible Chapel in Hopedale. He loved camping and working on his many auto restoration projects.
In addition to his wife Christina of 20 years, he is survived by one sister Rita Rousseau of Woonsocket, RI and several nieces and nephews including his caregiver, Gary M. and his wife Lynn Rousseau of Harrisville, RI. He was predeceased by three brothers Eugene Lussier, Maurice Lussier, and Constance Lussier; two sisters; Theresa Boucher and Margaret Lussier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 12, 2011 at 11 AM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford 01757.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 10-11 AM prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in South Hopedale Cemetery, Plain St., Hopedale.
