NORTH SCITUATE- Linda L. (Guimelli) Tremba, 68, of North Scituate, RI, passed away on Thursday, March, 3, 2011 surrounded by her family, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA. She was the beloved wife of Gregory G. Tremba.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on March 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Alyce A. (Garabedian) Guimelli.
She leaves her step-children, Gregory G. Tremba II and his wife, Kelly of Worcester, MA, Jon T. Tremba and his wife Jen of Holden, MA, Stephanie L. Montgomery and her husband Christopher of Springfield, VA, Marybeth A. Gallivan and her husband Brian of Worcester, MA; and her grandchildren, Jonathan and Adam Montgomery, Alice and Tyler Tremba, Brady Gallivan and Sydney Tremba. She was the loving sister of Lorraine A. Purich of Bellingham, MA; and aunt of Bobbie-Lee Purich of Bellingham, James Purich and his wife Dena of Eugene, OR
A resident of North Scituate, RI since 1998 formerly of Greenville, RI, Cromwell, CT, Pennsylvania and San Francisco, CA. Linda was raised in Bellingham, MA and was a graduate of Bellingham High School Class of 1960, she continued her education at Bryant College receiving her BS Degree in Business. Linda worked for American Airlines for 32 years retiring in 2004. She was a master gardener for URI, enjoyed the beach, fishing and she was a gourmet cook. Linda and Greg have a winter residence in New Port Richey, FL since 2006 and were married on April 14, 2006 on Clearwater Beach, FL. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 8, at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at 12:45PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Visiting hours are on Monday, March 7, from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the American Lung Association of RI, 260 West Exchange St., Suite 102B, Providence, RI 02903.
