WOONSOCKET- Jocelin L. Martel, 32, of Woonsocket, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center with her family by her side, from complications of pneumonia.
Born on June 16, 1978 in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Robin A. Martel of Woonsocket and the late Clement A. Charland.
She leaves her beloved Jose Ortiz, and was the loving mother of Andre C. and Jacob J. Martel. She was the granddaughter of Marjorie (Alward) Martel of Bellingham and the late Robert Martel, and the late Edgar and Irene (Bernier) Charland. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jocelin was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and attended Woonsocket Schools. She attended the Blackstone Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, at 11:00AM at the Blackstone Valley Baptist Church, 40 Pine Swamp Road, Cumberland, RI. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations to the Jocelin Martel Memorial Fund, c/o Dean Bank, 411 Pulaski Blvd., Bellingham, MA 02019 would be appreciated.
