LINCOLN- Mrs. Helen B. (Kopacki) Nowak, 90 died Tuesday March 8, 2011. She was the widow of Joseph A. Nowak, who died June 9, 1989.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Kazimierz and Adela (Irzyk) Kopacki, she was a 1937 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Mrs. Nowak was employed as a floor lady at the former Najarian's Department Store both in Woonsocket and Pawtucket.
She also worked at the former Gracious Living in Cumberland and at Ann & Hope in Cumberland. She was a Lincoln resident since 1953.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church Central Falls, the St. Joseph's Senior Citizens and the Polish National Alliance Lodge of Central Falls.
She is survived by a daughter Christine A. Nowak, with whom she made her home. She was the sister of the late Adolph G. Babar.
A Private Funeral was held Saturday March 12, 2011 from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church Central Falls.
Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery Cumberland.
