BURRILLVILLE- Raymond E. Young III, 72, resident of Harrisville, passed away March 16, 2011 in Colchester CT.
Born in Woonsocket RI, he was the son of the late Raymond & Frances (Senkarik) Young.
Raymond was an avid outdoors man with a passion for hunting and fishing. He taught hunters safety courses for 20 years for the Department of Environmental Management fish and wildlife. He was lifetime member of the Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club and the Thompson Rod and Gun Club where he volunteered for many activities, including cooking for the annual game dinners and field days. He had a passion for gardening and canning. He was also a talented craftsman with a love for woodworking.
Raymond is survived by his four children Beth Cabana of Providence, Susan Young (Capozzi) of No. Providence, Raymond A. Young LaCrosse WI, and Jeffery A. Young of Colchester CT, and his six grandchildren, Jason & Kyle Cabana, Ryan & Chelsey Capozzi, and Erika & Aaron Young.
A Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 10am in the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland RI. Burial with military honors will follow in Slatersville Cemetery in Slatersville. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Audubon Society. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4pm until 7pm.
