BELLINGHAM- Joseph E. "Ed" Thibodeau, 76, of Bellingham, passed away at home on Sunday, March 20, 2011. He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Mary J. "Joan" (Imough) Thibodeau.
Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada on April 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Hachey) Thibodeau.
He was the loving father of Eugene D. "Danny" Thibodeau of Bellingham, Laurie A. Wilson of Elysburg, PA, Gary C. Thibodeau and his wife, Amy, of Blackstone; and his cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren Wilson, and Brandon Parenteau. He was the brother of Donald Thibodeau of Toronto, Canada, Clifford, Gordon and Della Thibodeau all of Bathhurst, N.B., Canada, Betty Gault of Ontario, Canada, Francine White of Moncton, N.B., Canada, and the late Eldon, Raymond, Arthur, Jr., and baby Geraldine Thibodeau.
A resident of Bellingham for 50 years, Ed worked as a press operator for 31 years at Dennison in Framingham until retiring in 1991. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, enjoyed walking, and was friendly and outgoing. He volunteered at the Bellingham Town Common and the Senior Center.
Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours are on Thursday, March 24, at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA from 5 to 7:30PM with a Funeral Service at 7:30PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. To sign guest book visit www.cartiersfuneralhome.com
