NO. SMITHFIELD- Stanley E. Olech, 89, a resident of the St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield passes away peacefully on Tuesday at the residence.
Born September 4, 1921 in Woonsocket.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Michaline (Aczkiewicz) Olech, he resided in No. Smithfield all his life.
Stanley was employed as a Technician at the former Slatersville Finishing Co. and the Stamina Mills before retiring.
He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Medical Corp.
He was a life long & devoted member of the LaClaire, Kozlik, Basset & Logan Post 6342 in Forestdale. He was an avid Red Sox & New England Patriot fan.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Frances Siminski of No. Smithfield and Bertha Julevich of Woonsocket, also several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, great great nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Anthony Olech and Caroline Gurski.
His funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at the Chapel at St. Antoine,10 Rhodes Ave., No. Smithfield. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, with Military Honors in Blackstone, MA. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
