WOONSOCKET- Rita L. Eliasz, 91, of Woonsocket, died Saturday morning at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Stanley Eliasz.
Born and raised in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Coutu) Doyon. She was a resident of Blackstone for over 40 year before returning to Woonsocket.
Mrs. Eliasz was a homemaker and will be remembered as a cherished aunt to her extended family.
She was the sister of the late Norman, Eugene, Laurent "Larry", and Leo Doyon, Florence Bergeron, Beatrice Beausoliel, Theresa Ehrlich, and Rose Chawroux. She is survived by her godson Leon L. Bergeron of North Smithfield, and several generations of nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:30 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 10-11 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
