BELLINGHAM- Eric F. Corriveau, 82, of Bellingham, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Loretta W. (Renquin) Corriveau.
Born in New York, NY on April 4, 1929, he was the son of the late J. Cyprien and Corinne (Imhoff) Corriveau.
He was the loving father of Brian E. Corriveau of Westborough, MA, James M. Corriveau of Bellingham, MA, Carolanne Boyle of Winthrop, MA, Melissa M. Russell and her husband James of Bellingham, MA; and his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, James, Erika and Nicholas Russell. He was the brother of Robert Corriveau of Hudson, P.Q., Edgar Corriveau of Sept Iles, P.Q., Raymond Corriveau of Baie Trinite, P.Q., Omer Corriveau of Uxbridge, MA and Marie Blanche Corriveau of Long Island, NY and the late J. Eugene Corriveau of Bellingham, MA.
A longtime resident of Bellingham, Mr. Corriveau was an accountant, an employment specialist for the Department of Employment Services in Norwood. He also owned several local businesses. He received a bachelor of science in accounting from Bryant College, Smithfield, RI. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War attaining the rank of Corporal and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Naval Occupation Service Medal. He was an avid gardener, sports fan, enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cribbage and was a member of the New England Cribbage League. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 8:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Funeral Service at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Visiting hours are on Friday, April 22 from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
