LINCOLN- Philip J. King, 69, of George Washington Highway, passed away Tuesday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Louise B. (Boice) King.
He resided in Lincoln recently, previously residing in Dearborn, MI, and Cumberland.
Mr. King was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Phil was President and Owner of King Consulting Group, San Jose, CA for 20 years. He was also an Adjunct Professor University of San Francisco, Adjunct Lecturer Santa Clara University, and San Jose State University where he was Program Consultant for the Human Resource Certificate Program.
He was a 1958 graduate of Tabor Academy, Marion, MA. He received his Bachelor Degree from Detroit Institute of Technology. He went on the receive his Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Human Resources from the University of Detroit. He later graduated from the University of San Francisco, receiving a Doctorate in Education: Organization and Leadership.
He leaves one daughter, Pamela Kratzenberg of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters Laurel Conway of Rochester, MA; Alison van Gestel of South Pasadena, FL and Holly Menard of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Jonathan King of Oakland, CA and Daniel King of Oldsmar, FL. He also leaves three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Stephen King.
Military Services will be held Monday, April 25, at Noon in the RI Veteran Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours are kindly omitted.
