WOONSOCKET- Laura (Rattelle) Petrin, 99, of Cumberland Hill Road and formerly of Cumberland died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Oakland Grove Health Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late William J. Petrin.
Born in Harrisville, a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Jane (Theroux) Rattelle, she had lived in Cumberland for over 55 years before moving to Woonsocket.
She was a communicant of Historic St. Joseph's Church, Cumberland and a former member of the Chimney Hill Tenants Association.
She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Desnoyers of Cumberland, Jane Moreau of Pawtucket and Claire Harnois of Winter Haven, FL; one son, Richard Petrin of Winter Haven, FL; twenty grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; four great great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late William R. Petrin and Edouard C. Petrin, the grandmother of the late David Petrin, and the sister of the late Dorothy Cote and Donat Rattelle.
Her funeral will be held THURSDAY, APRIL 28 at 9:30 A.M. from BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Historic St. Joseph's Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
