WOONSOCKET- Anita Y.(Montmarquette) Howard 69, of Loring St. died Monday at home.
She was born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Leopold and Vitaline (Menard) Montmarquette.
Anita was a generous person who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and also enjoyed baking, painting and writing poetry.
She is survived by three children; a son Christopher Howard of Cumberland, and two daughters; Tammy Howard of North Smithfield, and Cindy Guilbeault of Woonsocket, three grandchildren, two brothers; Joseph Montmarquette of FL, and Maurice Montmarquette of SC, and five sisters; Therese Ouellette, Alice Cornille, Orise Corriveau, Rosina Dumont, and Germaine Salciarini all of Cumberland. She was also the sister of the late Simone Brizard.
Visiting hours will be held Friday evening 4-7PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a prayer service beginning at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Perkins School for the Blind, Attn: Perkins Trust, 175 Beacon St., Watertown, MA, 02472.
