WOONSOCKET- Fernande M. (Lussier) Parent, 80, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Mount St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 60 years of Raymond M. Parent.
Born in Woonsocket on November 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Aurele and Germaine (Lefebvre) Lussier. She was the loving mother of Ronald G. Parent of Raleigh, NC, Linda A. Levesque and her husband Rene of North Smithfield, RI, Susan M. Dicks and her husband Brian of Uxbridge, MA; and her cherished two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Constance Ingersoll of Newington, CT and the late Bernard Lussier and Rose Marie Lussier.
A lifelong resident of Woonsocket she was an assembler at A.T. Cross and a stitcher at Needlecraft and Finkelstein. She was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church. She was an avid bingo player and quilter.
Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 3, at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St.(Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
Visiting hours are on Monday, May 2, from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 146 Clifford Street, Suite 1, Providence, RI 02903,
