BELLINGHAM Barbara J. (Clark) Campano Gildard, 74, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Clinton Hospital in Clinton, MA with family by her side. She was the beloved former wife of the Louis D. Campano with whom she resided in Bellingham, and the late Arthur Gildard.
Born in Franklin, MA on February 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Theresa K. (Locklin) Clark. She was the loving mother of Richard L. Campano and his wife Nancy of Bellingham and Kathleen T. DeCiantis and her husband John of Uxbridge; and her cherished six grandchildren, Richard Jr., Sarah, Nicholas, Kayleigh, Jessica, and Jacob Campano; and two great-grandchildren Sally-Anne Campano and Trinity Collette. She was the sister of Arthur Clark of Bourne, MA, Marion Cucinneta of Raynham, MA, Lucille DeMeo of Milford, MA, Mildred Welch of North Smithfield, RI, Norma Dame of Georgia and the late Thomas S. Clark, Sr., Edward J. Clark, Clinton E. Clark, Sr., Frances Pouliot and Doris Andrews.
A resident of Bellingham for over 20 years, she was formerly of Woonsocket, RI. She was a food service supervisor for many area nursing homes including the Mary Land Rest Home in Medway, MA Hopedale Gardens, Diamond Hill Nursing Home and the Sheldonville Nursing Home until retiring in 1992. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 5, at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone. Interment will follow at the Scott Cemetery, Center St., Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, May 4, from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
