WOONSOCKET- Muriel C. (Tardie) Poisson, 64, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 44 years of George J. Poisson.
Born in Woonsocket on December 5, 1946, she was the daughter of Helena (Bergeron) Tardie of Manville and the late Conrad Tardie. She was the loving mother of David Poisson of Accident, MD, Neil Poisson of Woonsocket; and her grandson David Poisson, Jr. She leaves her daughter-in-law Lisa Poisson of Woonsocket; her brother Marcel Tardie and his wife Deborah of Bellingham, her sisters Lucille Beausoleil and her husband Roger of Naples, FL, Diane Therrien and her fianc David Chapman of Cumberland, Gisele Podgorski and her husband Ronald of Warwick; and her sister-in-law Rachel Pelletier and her husband Leo of Magnolia, Delaware.
A lifelong resident of Woonsocket, Muriel was a CNA at Mt. St. Francis Health Center for many years. She was a member of the Golden Heart Seniors and enjoyed crocheting, was an avid reader and loved animals. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Friday, May 13, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Visiting hours are on Thursday, May 12, at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA from 6 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
