WOONSOCKET- Paul P. Parenteau, passed away peacefully from this earth at 81 years of age on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Trinity Rehabilitation Center in Woonsocket.
He was the beloved husband of Claire (Gignac) Parenteau, the couple was married for 43 years. He was the son of the late Alteteur and Marie Rose (Mondoux) Parenteau.
A Lifelong resident of Woonsocket, Paul served as a Corporal in the United States Army from 1948-1951. After returning to Rhode Island he was employed By Cayer Construction Until retiring.
He was a life member of the Italian Workmen Club of Woonsocket and in 2003, Paul was recognized by the club as the Associate Member of the year.
He is survived by two sisters, Alice Godin and Jean Wall, both of North Smithfield a daughter Debra Boriskin, a granddaughter Jenna, both from Attleboro, a stepson Ed Fleury, of Woonsocket, and three grandchildren, Jeremy, Rena, and Vincent. He was the brother of the late George, Gerard, Bruno and Raymond Parenteau. Paul was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Home Service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 7 P.M. In the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, R.I. Relatives and fiends are invited. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 P.M. Burial will be private.
