WOONSOCKET- Leo J. Forand 86, of Greene St., died Friday at Woonsocket Health Center. He was the husband of Claire (Charest) Forand.
Born in Nantucket Island, MA., he was the son of the late Emil and Leonie (Rainey) Forand.
Mr. Forand was a mechanic for Coca Cola Corporation for thirty five years before retiring in 1986. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the VFW.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Robert J. Forand of St. Petersburg, FL and three daughters Susan Joyal of Uxbridge, MA, Jeanne Forand and Denise Pincince both of Woonsocket, a brother Eugene Forand, and a sister Therese Corbeille both of Woonsocket and four grandchildren, Derek Forand, Jessica Moreno, Jason Joyal, Todd Pincince and two great grandchildren, Carrick Moreno and Olivia Forand. He was also predeceased by five siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday May 16th at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
