CUMBERLAND- Leo "Rick" E. Powers, Jr., 48, of Heroux Blvd, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Leo E. Powers, Sr. of Blackstone, MA and Rhea (Bouchard) Powers with whom he lived.
He was the owner of the former Powers Roofing Co., Cumberland.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Rhea (Remillard) Bouchard of No. Providence, his brother, Thomas J. Powers of New York City, NY, his sisters, Barbara Hodosh of Montebello, NY and Kathleen Gifford of Derry, NH, his nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Matthew Gifford, Shana and Shelby Hodosh and JR Powers and along with his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 from 4-7PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. All other funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
