MORRIS PLAINS- Jay V. O'Dell, Age 86, passed away on Thursday, May 5th 2011 at Regency Grande Nursing Center in Dover.
Jay was born in Scottdale, PA and grew up in Woonsocket, R.I.
He lived in Morristown, Toms River & retired in North Carolina before moving back to Morris Plains in 2003.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 6/28/1943 until being honorably discharged on 4/6/1946.
Jay worked for City Federal Saving obtaining the title of the President of Southern Divisions in New Jersey before retiring in 1988.
Jay was pre-deceased by his wives, Laura (nee-Hession) & Mary Hayes.
Survivors include his sons, Christopher & his wife, Lynne of Florence; Mark & his wife, Patricia of Denville; Timothy & his wife, Cheryl of Hanover Twp.; his step-sons, Harold & Michael Merrill; his step-daughter, Kimberly Raimann; his 6 grandchildren: Caitlin, Timothy, Mark, Christopher, Ryan, & Terrence; his 4 step-grandchildren: Trevor, Derek, Danielle, & Tyler. Jay is also survived by his great-grandson, Colin Michael O'Dell.
