Taxmen shine in Northern Bernon L.L. action

Cercle Laurier 4 0 0 0 0 - 4
Woon Tax Pitchers: Mat Letourneau, Harrison Blais, Jared Briere
Cercle Laurier Pitchers: Zachary Harnois, Jean Santana
Matt Letourneau led Woon Tax on the mound and at the plate with a 15-4 win over Cercle Laurier, bashing two doubles, a single and 4 RBI’s, Letourneau also tossed a 3 hitter over 3 innings, striking out 6.
Jared Briere added a triple and a single with 4 RBI’s for the Taxmen.
Justin Archambault was defensive player of the game for Cercle Laurier with several great plays at shortstop.

Firefighters Pitchers: Aneuri Soto, Matt Jarret
The Firefighter team prevailed in their first Interleague game win against North Smithfield’s Pete’s Plumbing.
Emanuel Quirindongo started a ralley with a Triple. Justin Mojica scored the winning run by a pass ball to seal the Firefighters win.
Matt Jarret was able to control the pitch -ing and played a great game. Shane Reilly and Trevor Pascoe both pitched for Pete’s and Trevor helped to keep them in the game by adding a double.
Minor Division:
Kiwanis 2 1 1 4 0 – 8
Elk’s 2 2 1 3 1 – 9
Kiwanis Pitchers: Ryan Proulx, Latrell Lopez
Elk’s Pitchers: Kenny Poirier, Chris Vallee, Jacob Harris
In a close game, Elk’s pulled out the win over Kiwanis. Nick Platek hit 2 big doubles knocking in two runs. Evan St. George had 2 RBI with a triple.
Evan St. George scored the game winning run on a Adrian Lopez RBI groundout. Elijah McDowell had two singles and Ryan Proulx and Andrew Martinez each added a double for the Kiwanis team.

Universal Cutts 1 4 2 4 0 – 11
Elk’s Pitchers: Phil Conley, Nick Platek
Universal Cutts Pitchers: Nathan Nickerson, Emmanuel Gomes, Evan Nickerson
The Elks set the pace of the game as Phil Conley had an awesome game with two hits knocking in 3 RBI. He also pitched 3 great innings and made a couple nice plays in the field.
Nick Platek had a big triple knocking in 2 RBI.
Universal's entire team hit the ball very well, with Xavier Denis, Nathan Nickerson, Trevon Plante, Nathan Asstafan all having multiple hits each.
