WOONSOCKET- Mrs. Susan M. (Zito) Gobeille, 92, died May 16, 2011 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Frederick C. Gobeille, Sr.
Born March 14, 1919 in W. Warwick, a daughter of the late Paolo and Carmella (Piantarosa) Zito. She was a No. Smithfield resident most of her life.
Susan worked as a tester for A.T. Cross in Lincoln for several years. She also worked for the former Kornstein's in Woonsocket for many years.
Susan was a former member of the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Seniors and served as the secretary for many years.
She is survived by a son, Frederick C. Gobeille, Jr. of New Hampshire; two daughters, Carolyn Fredette of Woonsocket and Kathleen Coutu of Uxbridge; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late, Michael, Joseph, Stephen, Anthony and Filomena Zito.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Antoine Residence Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave., No. Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Antoine Special Care Unit. Calling hours are Thursday morning from 9 -10:30 am
