Lois B. Fortin
LINCOLN- Lois B. (Vivier) Fortin, 74, of School Street, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Gabriel Fortin. Mr. & Mrs. Fortin were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in July.
Born in Valley Falls, a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Slater) Vivier, she had lived in the Albion section of Lincoln for the past fifty years.
Mrs. Fortin was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Cynthia DeMaire of Pomfret, Ct., Christine Bibeault of Pascoag, and Nicole Fortin of Webster, Ma.; one son, Gregory Fortin of Merrick, N.Y.; two sisters, Irene Shea and Carol Pina, both of Cumberland; one brother Henry Vivier, Jr. of Cumberland; eight grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was the sister of the late Edward Vivier and Joyce Sullivan.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 21 at 8:45 a.m. from BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 91 School Street, Albion. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Albion. Relatives and friends are invited and may call, FRIDAY 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Fortin's memory to the St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 100, Chamberlain, S.
