CAPE COD- Jean-Paul Lambert, formerly of Woonsocket, died Wednesday May 18, 2011 in the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He was the husband of Alice T. (Ouellet) Lambert for almost 70 years.
Born in St. Cuthbert, Canada, Jean-Paul was the son of the late Oscar and Marie (Turcotte) Lambert. He resided in Woonsocket most of his life, and relocated to Cape Cod two years ago.
Jean-Paul was a WWII Veteran with the 3rd Infantry Regiment serving as a Technical Sargent in France and Germany. He later served in the Army Reserves with the CIC. He was a life-time member of the AMVETS, a life-time member of the Cercle Laurier and belonged to the VFW Post 263. He was a carpenter and worked for Cayer Construction Company for many years retiring in 1984.
Besides his wife Alice, he is survived by one son, Paul L. Lambert, of Mashpee, MA. One daughter, Lisa M. Lambert, of Waquoit, MA., a granddaughter and three great granddaughters, a great grandson, and two step granddaughters. He is also survived by two sisters, Clara Richard, of Blackstone, MA. And Emiliene Drainville, of Pawtucket, R.I. He was the brother of the late Urgele, Vitalien, Elzear, Michael, Leo, and Romeo Lambert. And a sister Marie Anna Champagne. Also several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday May 21, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. In Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited.
