BLACKSTONE- Omer J. Dubois, 85, of Federal St., Blackstone, MA, died May 16, 2011 at Milford Hospital, 7:54 am.
Born Nov. 3, 1925 in Woonsocket.
He was the beloved husband of Lillian (Morin) Dubois of Blackstone MA. He was the son of the late Regis and Alice (Robitaille) Dubois of Blackstone. Brother of the late Arthur, Aldor, Adrian "Pete" Dubois and Anita Allard.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son David Dubois of Walpole, NH and two daughters, Dale Payette of Woonsocket and Sandra Dubois of Blackstone and a grandson Jason Delannoy of Blackstone. He was the father of the late Linda Dubois who died April 5, 2011.
Omer was a dedicated family man who loved the outdoors and gardening. He loved the gift of gab and music that was comforting to the mind. He loved traveling and great foods. He was a great cook and a giving person who went out of his way to please others, and a graduate of Blackstone High School.
Omer worked at the former Woonsocket Worsted Company for over 20 years. He also worked for the former Peter Pan Creamery for 10 years and retired from Conklin Limestone Company in Lincoln where he worked for 38 years of his life.
Omer and Lillian would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2011.
Omer was an army veteran of WWII serving from 1944 1946 and was injured during combat.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 28, 2011 at 11 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
