NORTH SMITHFIELD- Florence A. (St.Pierre) Smith, 86, resident of North Smithfield, died unexpectedly May 19, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.
Loving wife to the late Robert F. Smith.
Born in Slatersville, daughter of the late Adelard & Marie Anne (Morais) St. Pierre.
She was a longtime employee for the Heller Knitting and Hanora Mills in Woonsocket. During the 1940's and 1950's she worked at the Park Theatre, the Woonsocket Opera House at Monument Square.
She is survived by her children, sons, Dr. Robert F. Smith Jr. of Haymarket VA, and Eric Charles Smith of Foster RI, daughter, Beverly Ann Faubert of North Smithfield, daughters- in-law, Dawn Edmondson of Foster, and Teresa Ann Smith of Haymarket VA., grandchildren, Dr. Jonathan Smith of Honolulu, Katiana Smith of Foster, and Brittany Faubert of North Smithfield.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Wylie Thayer Smith and her brother Lionel St. Pierre.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home 75 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Johns Church in Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5pm until 8pm. Donations in her memory may be made to the North Smithfield Animal Shelter.
