MANVILLE- Alphonse L. "Paul" Beauregard, 82, of Spring Street,, died on June 2, 2011. He was the husband of Alice S. (Michaud) Beauregard to whom he was married May 19th. Husband of the late Cecile (Parenteau) Beauregard and companion of 25 years of the late Delia Menard.
Born in Manville, RI on May 19, 1929, he was a son of the late Henri W. and Evilina E. (Poitras) Beauregard.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1949 - 1951.
Mr. Beauregard was employed most recently as a security guard and also by Bourcier Brothers Moving Company and the Wrentham Developmental Center prior to his retirement.
He resided in the Manville section of Lincoln, RI for most of his life.
He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Manville.
Mr. Beauregard enjoyed traveling, most especially to Hawaii and Florida, playing cards and dominoes and treasured the time in the company of family and friends.
In addition to his wife of two weeks, he leaves four children: Cheryl A. Lataille of Woonsocket; Gloria Beauregard of Manville; Michelle Beauregard of Narragansett and Steven Beauregard of Woonsocket; six stepchildren: Gerard Menard in FL; Amanda Feola in CA; Paul Menard of Pascoag; Daniel Menard of Woonsocket and Robert Menard of Cumberland and Linda King of Uxbridge, MA; 6 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister: Marie Scholle and her husband, Rusty, in Alaska, his sisters in law: Ruth Beauregard and Claire Deslauriers, his brother in law, Eugene Deslauriers and several extended family members and dear friends.
He was the brother of the late Bernard Beauregard.
Visitation respectfully omitted.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, Manville.
Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
Please do not send flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
