BLACKSTONE, MA- Doris R.(Gaumond) Bernier, 87 of Blackstone, MA. Passed away at home Monday June 13, 2011 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Donat Bernier.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Herve and Rosealba (Nadeau) Gaumond.
Doris was employed at Miller Electric for 22 years retiring in 1984.
Doris was an avid bingo player and a puzzle maker.
She is survived by one daughter, Frances Y. Roy and husband John, of Blackstone, MA. Two grandchildren, Tina Stothard, of Woonsocket, R.I. and Alan Roy, of Blackstone, MA. One great grandson Kevin Lavallee of Woonsocket, One sister, Yvette Benette, of Woonsocket. She was also the sister of the late Simone Leblond and Solange Gizzarelli.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 17, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Theresa Church, Blackstone, MA. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Arrangements are entrusted to the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, R.I. Calling hours have been respectively omitted.
