NORTH SMITHFIELD- Olga (Bellas) Bicki, 87, loving mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Christy V. Bicki.
Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Achille and Elena (Pittu) Belu, she is survived by four children, Richard Bicki of Providence, Thomas Bicki and his wife Nora of Wareham, MA, Brian Bicki and his wife Doreen of St. Augustine, FL and Donna Laithy and her husband Hatem of No. Smithfield and six grandchildren, Alexandra, Jordan, Daniel, Matthew, Neil and Adam and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James and Vasil Bellas.
Mrs. Bicki was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, Woonsocket. She served more than ten years as president and treasurer of the St. John's Ladies Auxiliary and was the Past Matron and Treasurer Emeritus of the Woonsocket Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a 1942 graduate of Pawtucket West High School.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 9:30 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, 501 East School Street, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 - 8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
