CHEPACHET- Nora Byrne, 95, resident of Chepachet died June 19, 2011 at the Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville RI.
Wife of the late Brendan Byrne who died Jan. 20, 2000.
She was born in Putnum CT. on Oct. 30 1915, daughter to the late Amedeo & Robelinda (Meotti) Zamagni.
Nora was a receptionist for 20 years for the former Putnum Herzl Finishing Co, retiring in 1978; previously she worked as a mender for the former Putnum Woolen Mill for 20 years. A resident of Chepachet since 1964, previously living in Putnum where she lived most of her life.
She is survived by her brother William Zamagni Sr. and his wife Barbara, nephews, Robert Rovatti and his wife Sandra, William Zamagni Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Charles Zamagni and his wife Nancy, and Arthur Zamagni, nieces, Pamela Coderre and her husband Maurice, Themis Waddington, Penelope Zamagni and her husband Rob Baskerville and Sue Zamagni. She is also survived by many great and great great nieces and nepews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Francis Bob Goglinski , brother Arthur Zamagni and sister Elaine Rovatti.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Eugene's Church in Chepachet. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Pascoag. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 931 Jefferson Blvd Suite 3004 Warwick RI 02886. Calling hours are prior to the funeral from 9am until 10:30am.
