WOONSOCKET- Helen N. (Romanyszyn) Holubesko, 84, resident of Woonsocket, died on June 24, 2011 at her home.
Wife of the late William C. Holubesko.
Born Jan. 21, 1927 in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Paul & Mary (Poliszezuk) Romanyszyn.
Helen worked for nine years for Walmart in Woonsocket; previously she worked as an office temp for Burrillville Town Hall and also worked as a secretary for area local businesses and as a secretary for the former SapWin Manufacturing Co. A resident of Woonsocket since 2007, previously she lived in Mohegan for 58 years. She was a graduate of Hill College. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, oil painting, and loved her pets. Helen made a great apple cake & borscht.
She is survived by her loving daughter Karin Holubesko and her fianc Leonard Champagne both of Chepachet, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step brother Michael Romanyszyn.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday evening at 730pm in the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland. Burial in Slatersville Cemetery will be held privately. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8pm.
