WOONSOCKET- Jeannette T. Berard, 78, of Woonsocket, formerly of Follett St., North Smithfield, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Lionel Berard.
Born and raised in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Philomena (Desjardins) Paul. She moved to Woonsocket after her marriage and later resided in North Smithfield. She returned several years ago to Woonsocket.
Mrs. Berard was employed by AT Cross for many years before retiring in 1993.
Jeannette dedicated her life to caring for numerous members of her family during their illnesses and elderly years.
She is survived by a brother, Fernand Paul of North Smithfield, and a sister Muriel Durand of New Jersey. She was the sister of the late Therese Durocher, Cecile Blackman, and Juliette Petrin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 pm. Flowers are welcome.
