LINCOLN — At 8:20 a.m. Saturday, the State Police Dive Team recovered the body of a missing teenager in the Old Jointa Lock Quarry off Rte 246, the Old Louisquisset Pike, according to a press release from the Lincoln Police Department.
The body was located in 75 feet of water and is that of an 18-year-old male from Central Falls, police said.
At the request of the victim’s family, the teen’s name is being withheld until out-of-state relatives are notified. The body has been turned over to the state Medical Examiner’s officer, according to police.
Lincoln Police continue to investigate the incident, but it appears to have been a tragic accident, according to Capt. Raymond Bousquet.
