Vincent W. Cotnoir
WEST WARWICK- Vincent W. Cotnoir, age 85, formerly of Patrick Quinn Drive, West Warwick, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Victoria J. (Costantini) Cotnoir.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Emile and Anna (Marks) Cotnoir, he lived in Blackstone, MA before moving to Warwick in 1971, and to West Warwick in 1978. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Cotnoir was employed as a supervisor at Quonset Point Naval Air Station from 1963 to its closing in1984. He later worked part-time for National Refrigeration in Warwick for 5 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Gail A. (Cotnoir) Costello of Liverpool, NY and Joyce (Kieburg) Doblmeier of Warwick; two sons, Dennis E. Cotnoir of Blackstone, MA and Gary E. Cotnoir of Scituate; three brothers, Robert Cotnoir of Blackstone, MA, Leonard Cotnoir and Paul Cotnoir, both of Woonsocket; a sister, Anna Mae Viens of Bellingham, MA; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Russell, Donald, Emile, Raymond, and Earl Cotnoir.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 12, at 9 a.m. from the Potvin & Cotter Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Washington Street, West Warwick. Visiting hours are on Monday from 3-7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
