SENECA, SC- Ruth L. (Catteau) Laplume, 64, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 43 years of Eugene Laplume.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on May 2, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Joan (Larue) Catteau. She was the loving mother of Keith Laplume and his wife Michelle of Seneca, SC, Melissa Trottier and her husband Anthony of Blackstone, MA; and her cherished four grandchildren, Alexander and Jarred Trottier and Erynn and Derrick Laplume. She was the sister of Robert Catteau of North Kingston, RI, Kenneth Catteau of Woonsocket, RI, Helen Milano of North Smithfield, RI, Linda Kanarian of Pawtucket, RI, and the late John Catteau, Maryjane Cournoyer, and Lucille DeAndrade.
A resident of South Carolina for over 11 years formerly of Blackstone, MA for 27 years and Woonsocket, RI where she was raised. She had worked at CVS as a Pharmacy Technician in South Carolina until retiring, and previously at CVS Main Headquarters in Woonsocket for 10 years. Ruth had also worked at the former Marquette Credit Union, Tupperware and Milford Hospital. She was a former communicant of St. Theresa Church of Blackstone. She enjoyed boating, reading, cross stitching, and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12th at 10:00AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Visiting hours are on Monday, July 11th from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
