BELLINGHAM- Joseph L. "Joe" Borelli, 73, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 11, 2011 with family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 50 years of Nedra L. (Watson) Borelli.
Born in Framingham, MA on April 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anne (Nicoli) Borelli.
He was the loving father of Sandra L. O'Connor and her husband John of LaVergne, TN and Dory A. Chauvin and her husband Robert of Douglas, MA. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Deslauriers, Ashlee Porter and her husband Chris, Danielle and Samantha Dulac, and great-grandson Christian Soriano.
A resident of Bellingham since 1969, formerly of Framingham where he was raised and graduate of Framingham High School Class of 1956. He was employed as a welder at Ingersol Rand in Walpole for 20 years until retiring in 1999. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cribbage and chess. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the Dana-Farber Cancer Center in Milford and the VNA and Hospice of Greater Milford for the special care given to Joe.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 15th at 10:00AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery, Mechanic St. (Rte 140), Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Thursday, July 14th from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Center, 20 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757 would be appreciated.
