Robert L. Pointon

WOONSOCKET- Robert L. Pointon, 73, of Clinton St., Woonsocket, was called by his Creator July 10, 2011.
Born Nov. 2, 1937 in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Henry S. (a former Woonsocket Call editor) and Isabelle (LeBoeuf) Pointon.
Robert graduated from Mt. St. Charles and then served six years in the U.S. Navy as an aerial photographer. He subsequently became a chef and restaurant manager for various restaurants in Woonsocket, Plymouth and Brockton, MA. He also owned a variety store in Brockton, MA.
He is survived by two brothers, Henry S. Pointon, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA and Louis Pointon of the Chicago, IL area.
He was the brother of the late Norman Pointon and Pauline Martin.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm.
