Doris L'Heureux

MANVILLE- Doris L'Heureux, 87, of Manville, died Friday, July 8, at The Holiday Retirement Home. She was the wife of the late Roger N. L'Heureux who died in 2010.
Born in East Taunton, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Corlis and Lea (Gadoury) Patras.
She was raised in East Taunton and moved to Albion as a young woman. Upon her marriage she moved to Manville where she resided for over 60 years.
Mrs. L'Heureux was employed at American Tourister in Albion for many years until retiring in 1981.
Doris was active with several senior groups including St. Joseph's, St. Agatha's, the AARP, and the Golden Hearts. She loved to travel and was fortunate to enjoy a total of eight trips to Aruba, one of her favorite destinations.
Doris will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce E. L'Heureux-Jones, and her husband Alan, and a granddaughter Lisa Jones, all of Leominster, MA. She is also survived by a sister Eileen Boucher of Cumberland and a brother Roland Patras of Manville. She was the sister of the late Frederic, Norman, and Raymond Patras, and Evelyn Santos. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are omitted.
