Denis L. Paux

WOONSOCKET- Denis L. Paux , 63, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on July 13, 2011. Born in Albion to Albert and Madeline (LaCroix) Paux, he was a longtime resident of Woonsocket.
Denis was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. He was a skilled union carpenter and later started his own business as a carpenter. He enjoyed a long career on the Woonsocket Fire Department I.A.F.F. Local 732 and retired as a Lieutenant in 1995. After retiring from the fire department he moved to Fort Myers and worked for the Jack Parker Company. He enjoyed traveling, boating and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife and best friend of 42 years, Paulette, two sons, Daryl and his wife, Nicole of No Smithfield, and Jason of Ft. Myers, FL, his granddaughters Megan, Dana, Tara, Alyson, Ashley and Emma, his mother, Madeline, his brother, Ronald and his sister, Jacqueline.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave. Woonsocket. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southern Florida Chapter, 2 Oakwood Blvd., Hollywood Fl 33020.
