George E. Gibson, Jr.

BELLINGHAM- George E. Gibson, Jr., 66, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 17, 2011 at Woonsocket Health Center with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 44 years of Lauren (Wilson) Gibson.
Born in Boston, MA on October 3, 1944, he was the son of the late George E. and Margaret (Brosnahan) Gibson. He was the loving father of Kurt A. Gibson of New York City, NY, and Kimberly G. Northcutt and her husband Robert of Colleyville, TX; and his three cherished grandsons Joshua, Jacob and Luke Northcutt. He was the brother of Edward G. Gibson.
A resident of Bellingham for 35 years formerly of Cambridge, MA where he was raised, and served in the Army National Guard. George was a dedicated Cambridge Fire Fighter for over 30 years until retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church in Whitinsville, MA. He enjoyed vacationing at their family home in Barnet, VT, golfing, trips to Cape Cod and Newport. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours are on Thursday, July 21, from 5 to 8PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
